My friends absolutely hate me for being a non-pizza lover. They think something is absolutely wrong with my well being. With that being said, I can proudly say I enjoyed the pizza at Ken and Mike's. I use to live in the townhomes behind it. My friends would order pizza on Friday nights. I gave it a chance and I liked it. Particularly, the Bianca pizza with no red sauce. Their wings are also good here. The service is also pretty good! You feel at home like a true family business should feel like. I'm glad I gave it a go and tried it.

Horrible Customer Service!!! I ordered a pizza and it was delivered lukewarm. It was not warm enough to enjoy while eating unless I reheated the pizza in the oven. I am a reasonable person so I do not expect my pizza to be delivered pipping hot but I do expect it to be somewhat hot. I've ordered from Ken & Mikes many times before and have never had an issue until tonight. I called the store to state my pizza was delivered lukewarm. The girl stated she would the manager call me. Philip, who stated he was the supervisor returned call. I explained that the pizza was delivered lukewarm. He explained to me the prep and delivery process and stated he wasn't sure how my pizza was delivered warm. I agreed with him that my pizza was quickly delivered (phoned in ordered at 7:45 pm/ pizza delivered at 8:08 pm) but the point was it was delivered lukewarm and that's not I paid for. Philip proceeded to raise his voice at me and state and I quote "Are you going to ruin your night over a $20 cheese pizza?" He continued in a condescending tone, "What you want your money back or you want a new pizza?" He said a few other things but I stopped listening after those comments. I told him that the customer service he was providing was horrible. I was and still am insulted! I was not calling for a free meal, I just expect what I paid for, nothing more and definitely nothing less. I explained to him I have been a patron of that establishment for years, never had an issue so it's not about $20. I told him I will NEVER do business with Ken & Mikes again. I was so upset and insulted of being accused of complaining for a free meal that I called the store back to request to have the owner to call me tomorrow. The young lady stated that Philip is the owner. I packed up that cold pizza, told her I was on my way to return the pizza and I wanted a refund. It's important on how a business handles a customer who isn't satisfied with their services. Customer service was extremely below sub par and from my interaction with them it is very apparent they do not value their patrons. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Great pizza, better than chain pizza restaurants. They deliver, which is a plus. They also have specials during the week. I believe that on Mondays and Tuesdays they sell large pizzas for $8. It is definitely worth it. My coworkers and I order pretty often from here, and we will continue to do so.

Soooo good! More pricey than most pizza places but definitely worth it. Everything I have ate from here has been mouth watering and leaves me craving their food for days. The girl who takes the orders on the phone is very nice, speaks clearly and repeats your order at the conclusion of your call. She's also killed and up-selling and promoting their specials. (I hope she gets paid well because she deserves it!) The only negative would be the delivery times are often a little long but it's worth the wait and is so because they probably have a high demand! (I want a margarita pizza right now! Or BBQ chicken!)

This gem of an establishment is nestled in a small shopping center in Miami Lakes. The food is great for the price and the wait staff is friendly and courteous. My family and I love to eat there as the food is consistently good. We frequently order pizza for delivery and they are rarely ever late. I hope this review helps Cheers!

The "Nitti" is by far my favorite pizza in this place. Small, authentic Italian feel and great service! This is definitely my favorite pizza joint in Miami Lakes. Garlic rolls are delicious as they have sort of a sweet taste I cant distinguish.

This little hidden gem has been in Miami Lakes for a while, and with reason because they are great! I've had a few things there and everything I've tried is pretty good. I must say, the experience here has been a pleasant one. There is one thing, though, that I've never tried and was really surprised by how good it was! This was today's choices Garlic rolls- complementary, baked fresh to order. Good balance between garlic and grease!( I'm not being sarcastic, who doesn't love that garlic grease!) Greek salad- Always good! Their Feta cheese was fresh and well proportioned on the salad. Dressing was Italian, but very good, not overly oily Mozzarella sticks- couldn't tell if they were made fresh, or frozen store bought, but they were really good! I didn't expect that since most places get store bought. The marinara sauce they serve it with is delicious. Perfect balance of flavors, making it zesty but not heart burn later zesty! Lol Yum! Wings- Honestly, wasn't expecting this at all. I stay away from ordering wings at pizza joints because, let's face it, they're never good. These, however were seasoned and cooked perfectly! They're served with hot sauce and blue cheese, but you won't need them. The spices they use to season the wings is very good! (Wish I took a pic of these) Pizza- Pepperoni/Pepperoni & Meatball. Pepp. was great, they're cheese is good, not rubbery like other reviews have said and most importantly not overwhelmingly greasy. I asked mine to be a little toasted and it made it even better. Pizza sauce is sweet but still zesty enough for you to know it's tomato. This stuff is house made, no canned stuff. Very very good sauce! Service is always friendly, we were a big party with 3 kids and asked for a lot of stuff, and we were treated politely. Overall great experience at Ken n Mikes and will definitely go back! Enjoy!

Never go wrong with Ken and Mike , just order take out and the portions are big for lunch , comparing with Italy Today . Veal and lasagna $18.00 , the other place : Fiocci de pear $14 . I would like to see that Ken and Mike includes Fiocci of pear and spaguetti a la carbonara in their menu . It would be perfect !

If you're looking a hearty, thick and chewy slice of Pizza, this place is a good alternative. You can ask for it baked Well Done or New York style (slightly burnt on top). Unfortunately they don't have anything bigger than large. There are better places but you would have to travel outside the area.

We came in on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was empty and the staff was friendly. They quickly took our drink orders and brought us menus. We ordered, the Pasta & Peas (ziti with a tomato cream sauce) the pasta & peas were cooked perfectly, the sauce was a bit heavy and bland. We also ordered the margarita pizza (this is how we test a pizza place, being as its the simplest of pizzas). This place failed :( The cheese was chewy, like gum, the basil was weird, it was burnt and it was all piled up on two slices. We scraped it off. The crust was crunchy, but flavorless. Needless to say, our quest for good new york style pizza in Miami is still on.

Pizza and Italian foods are my favorites without a doubt so I gave this place a chance not once or twice but three times. The food just keeps getting worse. This place is disgusting and caused me to have food poisoning. Ken and mikes pizza pasta and more should be shut down and the owners should feel shame. This place doesn't deserve to be open and giving it one star is almost too hard to do.

I used to live in in the area years ago and I loved it. Cozy little dine in or take out joint. I go by about one a year and happy to report its still awesome. It's all about the sauce. Dine in is always a little slow but aside from that, it's a gem.

If you like slightly sweet tomato sauce on your pie, you should definitely try this place. No question that sugar is added to the sauce here -- but it's just right. The dough is very airy, and rises a bit more than is typical for NY style. It's pretty unique, actually, and a definite bonus is it makes for very, very good garlic rolls. And check out the tube TV in the corner near the entrance. With little independent shops like this one serving large pies for around $13, there's no reason to visit the chains.

1 star just because of the service..... The "owner" has no business operating any customer service driven establishment AKA she's a rude MF. One of my pizzas fell out of the box and when I requested another one her response was "that's not my problem. It's not my fault you didn't hold on to it. I'll give you 2 slices but that's not my fault. " she would cut me off when I'd try to speak and she walked away from me when I was mid-sentence. Her response was unnecessary and un called for because I wasn't nasty or loud with her. I hope someone buys her out because the food is great and her nasty personality ruins it all! She definitely lost a client because she has no manners!!!!

I'm a chronic last minute shopper, even for Mother's Day. So when I didn't otherwise make lunch reservations, I was left to finding a lunch spot with available seating Yelp mobile pointed me to Ken & Mike's. My mom enjoyed her lunch and I found another spot for my "Holes in the Wall" list and place for Italian comfort food. After a pleasant greeting by our waitress Letitia, we were served a complementary garlic roll basket. My meal was a simple classic - huge bowl of slightly softer than al dente spaghetti, a generous helping of marinara sauce, and two medium meatballs. Mom enjoyed her lasagna, which I got to sample and enjoy the ricotta cheese and ground beef in the pasta. Like other comfort food Italian spots, our orders came with a complementary bowl of pasta fagioli soup. I liked the robust base with oregano and basil accents. Mima and I shared Tiramesu, made of a soft pastry with plenty of chocolate filling and coffee taste. Our plate was nicely garnished with chocolate and cream drizzle. They even put the TV to catch the Heat playoff game this afternoon (which we won!) Decor was classic casual bistro, with dark paneling and even a picture of Frank the Chairman! I suppose the music could have been a little cheerier than the sat radio station where John Tesh was mc'ing. I'm glad that a last minute find turned into a pleasant neighborhood surprise for an Italian food fix!

I have lived and worked near this restaurant for years. I find that the pizza delivery is great. I generally just order a cheese and pepperoni pizza and it is good. Not award winning pizza, but good. It works when you don't have time to cook or if you just need a pizza fix. The thing I do not like about this place is the dine-in experience. I dine in maybe twice a year always hoping to have a better experience and it generally ends in disappointment. Usually I find the service to be slow - so slow, it feels non-existent at times! Any time I have gone it is generally empty. The last time was the worst as my party of 2 was the only table in the restaurant and we did not receive a refill on drinks. We also waited a very long time for the check because the waitress disappeared in the back. Additionally, I would describe their dishes to be mediocre and in need of a real overhaul. If they would revamp the menu and improve on customer service, I think this business would improve greatly. I'd definitely visit more!

This is a local pizza place I would say known only to the local Miami Lakes residents. Definitely the best pizza I have had. Worth the price getting what you pay for. If ever nearby....stop in. They have pizza and other Italian dishes.

This little pizza shop/restaurant is A-OK in my book. I say shop/restaurant because they literally have both. This place is located in a little strip mall on 67th Ave near the Subway. The front entrance caters to sit-down patrons, whereas the back door entrance provides to-go orders and slices. They offer specials during the week where you can buy slices, but I believe that they only offer slices during the day during the week. I believe it's Mon-Fri during the lunch hours. Probably stops somewhere around 3pm. Which, to me, is kind of annoying. I wish they offered slices all day, every day. I'd be a much more regular customer if they did. (Hope you're reading this K&M!) The pizza is pretty good but I actually prefer to get slices rather than a whole pie. I like my pizza crispy and it's hard to get an entire pie to stay crispy en route to your home from the pizza shop. (Oh, they do deliver but this place is literally across the street from my place so I don't mind picking up.) The service here is quick & friendly. I've never had a bad experience. It's been a while since I've stopped by and suddenly I'm craving pizza...

My office ordered a few pizzas from here last week as a special lunch for our charity drive. The location is great, right around the corner from Casavana in Miami Lakes, and the service is friendly. Pizza is normally greasy, however this pizza was greasier than any I have ever seen. The boxes were literally soaked in grease, and despite multiple pattings of napkins, the food was barely edible. The prices are good - we got a deal for about $ 10.00 per large pizza and the pizzas were huge. I don't think that we will order from here again, but if you like New York style pizza that is quite greasy, you might actually really enjoy this place. I read in another review that they thought the take out service was not so good, but I had a really great experience with them.

This place!!! I haven't enjoyed pizza in a while. Papa johns, dominoes, pizza hut... how can anyone call that pizza... But this!!! The crust on their pizza is so tender and crispy and amazing! Their sauce is not too sweet, not too salty, and not overpowering. It's perfect. The cheese is real cheese! Not like that crap that turns clear when it cools down. People that complain about pizza being greasy... it's pizza. It's going to be greasy no matter what unless you don't put cheese or meat on it. And then you don't have pizza anymore. Maybe those people should try other toppings. We had a bacon meatball pizza and I didn't notice it being greasier than normal and I'm a very picky pizza eater!

I'm a big fan of this place Super friendly and attentive staff but the guy who takes the to go orders and makes the pizzas and garlic breads in the side entrance takes it to another level Great guy and super energetic The pizzas are of the New York style and extremely tasty and ok priced(on monday and tuesday you can get a large cheese for $7) I have never had bad food here but I have really only tried some of their pasta dishes and their pizzas of course, don't really know what the more is Dine-in hours Daily: 11am-3pm and 5pm-9:30pm Takeout hours Daily: 11am-9:30pm

Very good Pizza. The crust isn't too thick and the sauce is tasty. Definitely better than chain pizza. The spaghetti and meatballs is also very good. I've also eaten inside instead of take-out. We had the sangria the day we dined in the restaurant. Definitely not something I would have again. All in all, though, the food is very good.

Some Friends and I decided to try this mom and pop pizza place out. I of course had some coupons that I found in the flyer, so we thought sure lets give it a try, and I had been wanting to try Ken & Mikes for a while anyway. The restuarant itself is a small place and pretty filled on a Saturday night, we showed the waitress our coupon and she said it was good for take out only and not dine in. If we wanted to use the coupon we would have to go to the take out window and order our food there, so that is exactly what we did. The girl at the take out window was very friendly and told us that there coupons never expire. We ordered two large Pizzas (one ham pizza and one peperoni pizza), buffalo wings, and a dozen garlic rolls for $28.04. The two pizza's were huge, greasy, but good!!! The garlic rolls were very good yummy yummy yummy!!! I did not care to much for the buffalo wings and I love buffalo wings. This a good New York style pizza place definetly not commercialized pizza like Pizza Hut, Dominoes etc. -Melissa Marie

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I ordered the chicken francaise . This dish was horrible and the chicken smelled weird. We've ordered from them before and never had issues . Horrible service on phone.

Never dissapointed. The food is delcious, the portions are great. I eat more than most and never leave hungry. Pricing is very fair. My favorite little place in the area

Great food. Even the simple things like spaghetti and meatballs are awesome. My wife loves the eggplant, can't same the same for myself but that is a personal choice.

Great Food, big portions, authentic Italian tasting food, cozy little restaurant, and outdoor sitting, my favorite is the Baked Zitti, and the yummy, yummy garlic rolls... The take out servers are a little cold, but the food makes up for it!!
